News: Inmates in Calabar Prison Attempt Jail Break #WilkeyPerkinsBlog
The Comptroller of Prisons in Cross River, Clement Udosen, has confirmed that some inmates at Afokang Prison in Calabar South Local Government Area, on Friday attempted a jail break.
Udosen told newsmen in Calabar that the inmates overpowered some prison guards, seized their rifles, fired shots and injured some of the guards.
He said that the inmates also broke a section of the prison walls in their attempt to escape. continue..
