Sports: Jose Mourinho set to sign new Chelsea deal in summer, report says #WilkeyPerkins Blog

Jose Mourinho is set to sign a new contract with Chelsea during the summer, the Times reported.

The Portuguese boss has two years left on his contract after this season, but with Chelsea in good position atop the Premier League table, club officials want to give him a brand new deal, according to the report.

A new four-year deal would tie Mourinho to Stamford Bridge until 2019.

Negotiations will not resume until the season is over, the Times said.
Chelsea are taking aim at winning a treble this spring. In addition to their seven-point advantage over Manchester City in the Prem, the Blues will play in the League Cup final on March 1, and hold a slim advantage over PSG after the first leg in their Champions League last-16 tie ended 1-1.

Mourinho has yet to win a trophy since returning for a second stint with the club in 2013. In his first tenure as Chelsea manager from 2004-07, he won the Premier League twice and the FA Cup and League Cup once.

He won the Champions League in 2004 with Porto and in 2010 with Inter.
